Chris Meyer has designed electronic music devices for several companies including inventing Vector Synthesis and being awarded a Lifetime Achievement award for his contributions to MIDI. He teaches fellow musicians how to compose for, record, and perform with electronic instruments through his site Learning Modular, and recently built a personal studio with all-Focal Atmos 7.1.4 and quadraphonic monitoring areas. Chris shares his unique cinematic music under the name Alias Zone. He has performed at the Electrowave Wavetrails Slingshot Mountain Skies and Current New Media festivals, as well as, Synthplex, SoundMiT, and Synthfest France. He has opened for electronic music legends Steve Roach and Michael Stearns, and is a headliner at The Gatherings 2025 concert series. Chris was won the AFIM Indie Award (A2IM) for best Electronic/Ambient album of 2003.
